How do you think the winter sports teams are shaping up this season? A reader elsewhere in this blog asks why the girls volleyball team never is a state contender. Any comments on that? Volleyball is getting to be a very competitive sport with good scholarship potential.

After reading the BV Challenger last week, I notice Greg Beesley signed with SDSU. His quote in the paper is “I understand this isn’t high school anymore and I won’t go out and knock the crap out of the competition.” I think he’s been competing in cross country since 7th grade or so. I’m just curious as to how many state cross country championships he has. Can anyone out there answer that question?
