PIERRE - You’ve heard the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach
and that’s proven true when it comes to feeding lawmakers, lobbyists, pages
and interns at the state capitol in Pierre.
More than 20 Brandonites are here today giving lawmakers the lowdown of the
growing town, including a taste of Tony’s Catering, which has both the House
and Senate lobbies buzzing with culinary praise.
“We’ve had people tell us this is the best food they’ve eaten during the
entire session,” said Deanna White, coordinator of the Brandon Valley Area
Chamber of Commerce, which spearheaded the Brandon visit to the legislature.
About 150 people came through the food line on the Senate side to get a
taste of Tony Bosch’s BBQ boneless pork loins and cheesy hash browns, said
Brenda Feltman with Exact Eye Care in Brandon. About the same number went
through the House side food line.
And that was just the first lunch shift. Another food frenzy begins at 1
p.m.
“We were up at 2 a.m. grilling pork loins and we drove up here with it,”
said Bosch as he refilled the pork. “It’s good food.”
