The Argus Leader recently printed a story about high school bowling (”Teamwork sparks surge in bowling”, Jan. 6). The South Dakota High School Bowling Association has seven teams, and Brandon Valley is one of them. How do you think the team is doing this year?
What do you think about high school kids being able to earn a letter in bowling? How does it compare to other sports?
I remember taking bowling as one of my physical education credits in college. I always enjoyed bowling.
Do you bowl?

I think it is great that there is a high school bowling team. Anything we can do to keep our youth active in positive activites is a GREAT thing.
I believe the teams are doing OK - just as in all the other sports activites in Brandon. I personally hope the focus is more on having fun and improving oneself than on the winning tally.
GO BV!

The bowling teams have had good success over the last few years. In fact I think we won
or runner up to a state title.
As our community continues to grow WE need to offer other opportunities for our students to participate. Always remembering why we educate our kids.
Not all students are good at singing , art , acting , wrestling, basketball or band. We need various options to offer to ALL of the students.
I have seen the bowling scores for the team. I guarantee you this old gutter ball thrower would not like to bowl against
some of those kids.
GOOD LUCK !!! Bowlers
