Christmas lights

December 25th, 2006 by Alica

Brandon’s getting so big I haven’t had a chance to drive through all the streets to see the lights on the houses.

There are some dandy displays out there though. Mostly I’ve seen the displays on the west side of town.

Which are your favorite decorated houses? There are only a few more days left to look at the lights, and it would be a shame to miss any of the best displays in town.

It is great to see the golf course decorated.

I kind of miss the display Blackburn’s used to put up.

To C: You’re right. The golf course clubhouse looks real festive all lit up. It would be cool for people attending evening events to see the place lit up with, say, white lights all year round.

To Deanna: Back in the 1970s, when it was a big deal to put up one strand of lights on a house, the Blackburns lit up their whole house on Sylvan Circle, with decorations in the yard too. The display wasn’t fancy-coordinated like displays are these days, but it sure was bright and festive.
