Dale Beukelman is the new owner of Neighbor’s coffee shop in Brandon. So this seems like a good time to suggest changes and let him know the things you like best about the shop.
I request the new owners keep the sun dried tomato pesto spread.
But please change the music to something more calming.
What things would you like the new owners to change or keep the same?

Please have soy milk or lactose free milk for those of us that are lactose intolerant! Every time I’ve gone to Neighbor’s I don’t buy anything. And I buy coffee every day. Why don’t I buy from Neighbor’s? No soy milk. I used to drive through that little shack on Sunshine’s parking lot till it closed. She had soy milk every day for those of us who need it. Cafe mocha with soy milk. Not Neighbor’s. I have to drive into Sioux Falls to Starbucks to get cafe mocha with soy milk no whip. So I just don’t buy it except a few times a year. You’re really losing business that way Neighbor’s. There were many of us that depended on that soy milk the little coffee shack had.

Wait on your customers at the drive thru…can’t tell you how many times I have just driven away because of no service…

Hey, I still have Soy Milk!!! I’ve moved from that little shack to Sankofa Coffee Bistro. 401 E. 8th St. Ste 128 Sioux Falls. I’d be happy to have you back, Christine.

There are days that I leave Brandon for work before 6am. I love your Grog and would love a cup every morning, but your never open. If your hours mimicked to old good town bakery hours I think your patrons would grow immensly.

I hope you have more help during the noon hour. Frustrating to have to wait so long to get your food. And please improve on the soup! Looking forward to the business staying open!!

Thanks for all the comments so great to see that we didn’t miss the boat to bad for starting up a business from scratch using mostly personal funding. We were proud to serve Brandon and enjoyed doing so. We are glad that we didn’t have to just mimic some franchise and their terms we really tried to accomodate our customers when it made financial sense. But now you know - we’re not perfect, ha ha. Thanks again for the past 5 years-it’s been memorable and we would have never imagined the great friends that we would come to know through the Neighbor’s Coffee House. For us it had little to do with pesto sauce, soy milk, or any other minor complaint, we wanted our customers to feel comfortable, be able to relax, we wanted to teach our employees the importance of responsibility and good work ethic and keep the business open in order to offer something unique to Brandon, and we are proud that we were able to accomplish that because we watched other coffee house businesses in town that couldn’t make it. So to all of you who supported us and enjoyed the Neighbors for whatever reason Thanks You,

We also want to wish the best of luck to the Buekleman’s they seem are good people and really seem to care about Brandon, and we look forward to coming in for great coffee and not having to serve ourselves.

I haven’t tried a latte from the new owners yet, but the previous made the best carmel vanilla latte in the area. I always found the drive up fast when Jay was working, but the hours did lack some luster. Not open early enough for those early, rough mornings when you need it most! Glad to see it will still be around.
