Now that Bob Serk has been named to the Brandon City Council, his seat on the Brandon Planning & Zoning Commission is open. Who do you think should be appointed to finish Bob’s term on the commission? The Planning & Zoning Commission reviews requests for variances, special exceptions and conditional uses.
If you want to build your garage closer than 10 feet from your lot line, you have to go to the Planning & Zoning Commission, for example. Whoever replaces Bob Serk should be willing to educate themselves on the city laws so they can make good decisions on these kinds of things.
Who do you think is the right person for the job? Since Bob is going to start his council duties right away, the mayor should appoint someone to take his P&Z seat as soon as possible.
