Temporary church?

Tonight the City Council will consider a conditional use permit request to locate a temporary church in the Citadel Plaza addition. That’s up there next to Domino’s, where the dollar store used to be.
Anybody know anything about this? Is a new church moving to town? Who? Is a commercial district a good place for a church group to meet? Other churches have used the school, or even other churches, as their home base while they get established.
How long does this church want to be temporarily located in the Citadel Plaza?

According to Melissa LaBahn, assistant in the city’s planning and inspections office, the church requesting the temporary conditional use permit is Sovereign Grace Bible Church. Dennis Olson, city administrator, said the request passed at the council meeting last night.
A general Web search shows that it’s a Reformed Baptist church.
According to the church’s Web site, www.sovereigngracebiblechurch.org, the congregation has been meeting at the Valley Springs Reformed Church since April 6.
Dennis said the church asked for the permit for a little more than a year. Apparently the congregation plans to eventually build a church building.
