Ward I seat

Brett Bastian, Kathy Ford, Tim Polzin and Bob Serk have all applied to finish out the open Ward I term on the City Council.
With such a short time left in the term – four months – Tim Polzin is the best candidate. He has a lot more background information on city issues than the others, and he can hit the ground running, so to speak. Also, he says he won’t run for the seat in the spring election, which would leave the seat open and would give no advantage to any of the candidates at that time. Brett, Kathy and Bob should just sit tight and run for a full term in the spring if they want to serve on the Council.
The City Council will pick the temporary councilor at a special meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
